so i'm doing a 保育園 visit in August where i'll be with 4 and 5 year olds and i wanted to do some fun American science project type stuff
so far all i can think of is oobleck (corn starch + water, if you press it it's hard, but if you rest your hand on it, it'll sink)
have any of y'all ever done science-y/crafty things with 保育園 kiddos? or do you have any ideas? i'm really open for anything right now because this wasn't my original plan for this event so i'm kind of at a loss
(also sorry if this is already a thread, but i think i'm safe)

HOIKUEN kids??? wow... that sounds hard. usually the level i do for them is like, play a game or sing a song.

Once in one of my hoikuen visits, we played with colored water. Everyone had a cup and mixed together colored water from various bottles, to see what color they'd end up with. It was an appropriate activity for that age, and you can even bring in simple English!
