Hi hi
I'm usually pretty okay at coming up with a cute name for events but I'm coming up dry right now and would like to elicit the help of the illustrious CHIRP
The event is a riverbank trash cleanup with a picnic after (to give it IBENTO-KAN hue) and we're also going to do some ice breakers and do some fun facts about river biology and stuff to make it ~educational~ as well.
the kari name for it is 河クリーン＆ピックニック which... is what I'm starting to think will just be the name unless anyone can help me come up with something better ^^;
I have until mid July at the latest to come up with the name, but sooner is better for getting it approved and such lel

I was avoiding using the river name just because I feel like the foreign residents wouldn't know which river it was xD it's called the 富高川 tho so if you have a brainwave lemme know hue do you need help coming up with the japanese or english name? or ideally both? xD Either or both, honestly haha If I just get one I can finagle something in the other language uwu |

(Edit: is 方言 a big deal there? That might be another excellent source for name ideas. We have a pretty popular
marathon here called the Shiwai Marathon, which uses Shiwai meaning "Tough", "hard", "severe", etc.)

i'm toying with "pickup" and "picnic" because they sound similar but hmmm
河美化交流会 probably sounds too generic huh? oh maybe 河美化&美食？
i feel like aya is the strongest at this xD

Sorry, I had a school visit today! My first thought was also pick-up and picnic though haha

Tomi Gomi Pick-Up & Picnic is all I have so far, will update when brain isn't so tired lmao sorry Oh I like that one though! searching online another generic name is just river cleanup, so my boring suggestion is: your office or city's name + River Cleanup, then in the description mention which river it is plus the picnicking? Or call yoursleves the OOORiver Cleanup Crew, advertized as looking for volunteer members or something? |

hi!! i know this thread was originally for another event but i didn't think my thing warranted its own thread so 追加させていただきます<3
i'm going to be giving a lecture and having a q&a about my experiences as a CIR at my old university when i visit home next month!! my sensei asked what title i want for the event and i'm a little stumped. of course there's the basic/obvious "JET CIR Information Session," "JET CIR Lecture," etc., but i want something that feels a bit more personal and interesting? right now what i'm leaning towards is "My Life as a JET CIR: a Lecture and Q&A" but i'm not sure! any suggestions would be appreciated <3
