I've been in touch with a recruiting company in Tokyo called Lighthouse Global, and they asked me to pass along a job offer that sounds perfect for a CIR/JET leaving this year. I've met with LG a couple times and they are familiar with the JET situation (start/end dates, etc.) and can help you search for jobs, check your Japanese resume, and help you practice for interviews.
Job info is below, here is some additional info: -there is no set Japanese requirement, but they're looking for about N2+ -questions and applications can be sent to Sawada-san (澤田) at sawada@lighthouse-gl.com. -you will need to submit a Japanese resume. If you don't have one, Sawada-san can show you how to write one and native-check it. -Pay is 23万~ with housing and travel assistance, weekends and holidays off.

So what exactly do you do in this job? I read the description but it just sounds like a bunch of fancy business speak without any specific details on this position.
Either way if it is just sending an email I guess it wouldn't hurt to apply, even if 23万 is rather low.

Yeah I don't have any other details on it, sorry. I know that they have international staff already (mentioned Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong) but that's all I've got. I hear pay is pretty low in general across entry-level jobs in Japan but maybe this makes up for it with the housing/travel allowances.

.... even if 23万 is rather low. Something important to remember when job hunting in Japan is that when companies say "compensation based on experience," what many of them really mean is "compensation based on experience at our company." It's one of the reasons comparatively few Japanese people on career tracks like to switch companies, because if they do, their new salary is set pretty close to that of 新卒, even if said-job hunter has lots of experience in that industry.
