Have you considered contacting some smaller media outlets? Or ones that are online-only media outlets?

Yeah I would say smaller places would be more receptive probably.

Are there an sister city connections or organizations connected with Akagawara Roof Tiles in the countries you're targeting? They might have an existing PR network, if so they might connect you or pass on a press-release or something.

Interesting suggestions!
I will look up a list of smaller/online-only media outlets and see how I can contact them! There are cities and towns in Island Root that have sister cities, etc., but I am not sure if they have any connection with akagawara.
I will also take a look at online websites related to Japan!

Timing might also be something to think about. It's always easier for journalists to sell something to their editors if there's something that ties that certain issue to something relevant and contemporary. So suppose there's an fair on Japanese crafts, or a Japanese cultural event somewhere it might be easier to get someone interested around that time.
