Hello CIRHP! This is a re-post of a thread from last year where we were looking for people for the same position. That was filled and the thread was deleted, so I am reposting this now that we have another opening for our expanding team. Please have a read of the below and let me know if you are interested! The timing is a little weird for the CIR contract periods but please don't let that stop you from contacting if interested.
I am an ex-CIR who used to occasionally frequent these forums back a few years ago (let’s not try to guess who hue) but now have been working in Tokyo for the past few years. The company I am working for now is growing quite quickly and in need of new bilingual talent to join us. Knowing the lovely group of talented bilinguals you CIRs are, I suggested posting here to see if we could find anyone that would be a good fit.
My company is a recent start up (just turned 4 years old) and we help foreign companies to set up their entities and operate in Japan. Essentially this involves providing outsourced back office/BPO services that range from accounting/tax to payroll to corporate secretarial and visa services etc. We have been growing very rapidly in these three years and already have offices in multiple countries and service hundreds of clients. We have also recently been expanding beyond offering services to just Japan and moving to be a global provider.
Our Japan office is the head office and is situated in Shibuya, Tokyo. The office is still small but a very international working environment. Since corona hit, we have been completely clapping ears except for essential in office tasks (over 2 years now ) and that is continuing for the time being [UPDATE: still able to work remotely for most of the time with occasional visits to the office, so being located within Tokyo is best]. Please do not worry though, the office is still fully prepared with snacks if you ever have/want to go in. Although the company sounds a bit corporate-y, we are all very chill and there is no dress code unless you are meeting clients (which hasn’t really happened in over year due to Covid). The job would involve working in a small team with me or my other cool coworkers, working with our overseas colleagues and clients to implement our services.
I enjoyed moving into this job as it helped me move to Tokyo, learn new skills, start a professional career and meet great people. So I think it would also be a great post-cir entry level position for anyone here too. If you are interested for more info or applying, please send us a message and I can connect you to our hiring manager! I can also help answer any questions on the position.
Good luck on the job hunt everyone!
