Today I learned that one of my colleagues has been working on a survey for foreign residents. Nobody in my dept. seems to have heard the content of the survey up till now, until I had to translate it to English, which is annying, cause it's a SEKKAKU great chance to actually hear from the people my department is here for, and it's a waste to do it half-assed. I have serious doubts about both the content and the method (oldschool on paper with return-envelopes, but also in 4 languages, so big stacks of paper with no guarantee of them actually being used).
So, despite doubts that at this stage he'll still change his mind, I want to propose postponing the survey and doing it online instead. Has anyone ever done an online survey in their line of work as a CIR, and if yes, what kind of service did you use?

Two of the kids never responded (despite them all having smart phones and multiple reminders) and none of my superiors wanted to help me with it because they felt it was a waste of time when we could just do it on paper

He seemed quite open to it, so I'm going to set it all up. In the meanwhile, I'll try to get back-up from more colleagues (especially from the KOKUSAIKOLYUKYOKAI) to hopefully adjust the content a bit too.
