Hello hulemdos! Unfortunately, I have to leave my job at the end of March to have a baby, and there's no possibility of getting a spot in daycare in my city (what 'declining birth rate'?!), so we've begun the search for someone to replace me. I hope my loss can be one of your gain! This is a great position with long-term potential and a lot more responsibility and freedom than many other JET CIR positions. Here is the official job listing on Hello Work: LINK!It says that to apply you need to get a referral through Hello Work, but we are happy to circumvent this annoying process, just send us a Japanese resume by email: EMAIL!Some additional information... You MUST: - Be a native speaker of English - Have N1-level Japanese ability (Actually having the certification is not necessary, but you need to be at or above this level to do the job) - Currently reside in Japan and be willing to relocate at your own expense - Own your own car (The job involves some school visits and attendance at various 会議, many of which are in locations not accessible by public transport) - Be available to travel to the US once every 2 years (fully paid by the company) as a translator with the sister cities delegation - Be available to begin work the last week of March or the first week of April 2018 Preference will be given to candidates who: - Do not require visa sponsorship (This organization has never sponsored a visa before, all previous CIRs had spouse visas or permanent residency, so frankly we have no idea how to go about it. If necessary, we'll figure it out, but any applicants who fit all the requirements and have their own visa will get first priority, sorry.) - Currently reside in the area Please let me know if you have any questions!
