Job Title: Assistant Marketing Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Planning and implementing integrated B2B marketing campaigns into libraries in Japan and Korea
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Liaise with sales, marketing and other stakeholders to understand product and territory
objectives for Korea and Japan; prepare marketing plans which adopt appropriate B2B
tactics; implement plans and analyse results; and proactively develop detailed market
knowledge and product expertise.
2. Formulate and manage budget for your regions within framework set by manager;
conduct all marketing activities within agreed spending limits and track expenditures.
3. Research, plan, and implement creative content marketing and lead generation campaigns
which work across multiple channels. Manage conferences and events.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience of creating marketing plans
• Ability to assess priorities and balance resources across a list of products or a territory
• Experience budgeting and tracking expenses
• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to develop strong relationships with key internal
and external stakeholders, clear communication and boundary setting
• Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including editing and copywriting in English and Japanese
• Publishing experience
The recruiter also told me the following:
The office is pretty diverse. It is comprised of two offices internally. The Oxford ELT side (80 ppl- several people from abroad - lots of JETs). The Oxford Journals side (8 people - everyone is bi-lingual and several have studied abroad).
Office hours are 10am-6pm. If you want to come in at 9am and leave early, you can. Pretty causal office internally.
