Hello, former Eternal Overlord here, returning from the dead to try and find a successor for the job that I am leaving this Friday, since they have been unable to find any good candidates and I thought this would be a good place to spread the word (I have also posted in the past in the AJET Job Listings/CIR groups on Facebook and also on JETwit, so sorry if this is repetitive).
Location: Ritsumeikan University's Osaka Ibaraki Campus (Ibaraki City, Osaka)
Employment type: contract position, renewable up to 4 times (initial contract until the end of the fiscal year, then 1-year contracts after that)
Pay/benefits: 250,000 per month (plus bonus, usually 3 months' salary for a 1-year contract), 社会保険, 交通費, random 福利厚生 like discount movie tickets
Type of work: international student support (daily life, visa/status of residence, scholarships, etc.), short-term programs, international/community exchange
Requirements: Native-level English, business Japanese, basic PC skills
I think this is a great job for a (former) CIR who wants to keep working in Japan in a non-corporate job, since it utilizes a lot of the same skills/experiences from JET, pays fairly well, has generous vacation time, and involves very little overtime. The office environment is hulemdoly and the campus is only 4 years old so everything is still nice and shiny (washlets in all the bathrooms, etc). It's very close to central Osaka and is easy to commute to from Kyoto, etc. as well. I'm not leaving because there's anything wrong with the job or anything (I just found another job opportunity that I couldn't pass up), and I hope that they can find somebody good to replace me soon.
Since I am leaving this Friday they are looking to find somebody who can start ASAP, so even if you're not planning to break contract I would appreciate it if you could help spread the word to anybody else who might be interested!
I can't guarantee that I'll check back on this thread in the future but as I said I have also posted about this on some JET-related Facebook groups so feel free to contact me that way for any questions, etc.
よろしくお願いします~
