Hi hulemdos, it’s been a long time. Two back to back job posts here. I've put them in separate threads because the hiring organization, job type, scope, etc are very different, but let me know if they should be combined.
First, if you’re at all interested in tourism/hospitality, a colleague is currently recruiting staff for an Olympic sponsor's VIP programme during Games time next summer. They’re very interested in fluent English speakers with a good command of Japanese, and other languages would be bonus. I believe responsibilities would primarily be staffing VIP areas in event venues and looking after guests but could also include handling logistics.
This would be a short term gig starting in early/mid-July and ending after the Olympics close (August 9). I’m guessing the hours will be intense, but the pay is very good. I’m happy to share more details about that over PM.
The timing's not ideal for JETs leaving the program, but if you have a flexible CO that would be down for letting you leave a couple weeks early to help with ~*~Tokyo 2020~*~, this could be a neat opportunity to shore up some cash or see the Olympic experience from the inside. If you’re recontracting but have a lot of nenkyuu and no vacation plans... even better.
Interviews start in September and will presumably go on for quite some time. Feel free to message me with questions or to be put directly in touch with the hiring contact.

Is it possible to apply from overseas as at present I am living in UK? I was a CIR in Aichi prefecture and hold permanent residence status for Japan.

Hey, so sorry, just saw this - as long as working permit status isn't a problem, with which permanent residence status it shouldn't be (right?), I don't see why not. If you don't mind sending me a PM, I can put you in touch with the hiring contact who can confirm that and answer any other questions you have. (Also, where were you in Aichi? I was at the kencho.)
