Quick update!
London consulate seems to have released their ED results or at least sent out their emails from what people are saying on reddit. Therefore it's safe to assume (I think?)that I didn't get ED. A shame but I've still got a shot at August departure.

Don't worry about ED too much! There really aren't that many positions like that, it seems, especially for CIRs...

Hope everyone's hanging in there! Results should be sometime next week or the week after... right?

Depends on where you live. For Canada, it's been the first week of April the past four years.

That wait is the worst of all of them, hue. Only a few days left, though! (Which are frankly the worst of them all!)

The worst wait for me was waiting for a LENLAKU from my CO after getting my placement, but the wait for the placement itself was also the worst...and so was waiting for the interview results lmao
They all sucked.
Hang in there guys!

It was March 29th for me too (one year before Dee), so I think they tend to keep it pretty consistent.

Shocking realization that somewhere in the world right now, one of the people getting their acceptance email will become my successor. Congrats Marimoooo and all the future CIRs!

disco the Auckland JET Co-ordinator is a very lovely lady, and I suppose we don't have as many applicants as some other countries, that might have been why. Having said that, I was very pleasantly surprised because on the documents it said that we'd be getting our results in April.

Hi guys, lurker here, coming out of the shadows! I found out today I was shortlisted!!! (New York Consulate) I actually saw the posts here this morning but I assumed the US would be still a couple more weeks. I was super surprised and excited to get it so early! I thought I was a strong paper candidate and the Japanese portion of my interview went well... but the English portion of my interview was basically a cringe compilation reel so I wasn’t sure which way things would go hue basically none of the things I prepared for were included in the interview. The first person I told was my boss since I found out at work. I’m slightly conflicted cause I actually really like my job and my coworkers, but my boss basically told me “If you hate it you’re welcome to come back in a year” so what do I have to lose? Anyways, so excited to meet you all, 4649!

zztop Congratulations!! I also was unsure, I thought I'd be alternate at best hahah. And hey, you're not alone in having some conflicted feelings; I've had back and forth on what I'd want to do right after graduation personally. But ahh I feel so excited. And nervous! (already )

(already ) Congratulations yourself! Seattle and NY are in the same departure group I think, maybe we'll see each other at orientation ^^ I know I shouldn't, but I can't help hoping that if they announced the interviews early they might announce the placements a little early too *fingers crossed* It's a long wait till May!

Congrats to you both, zztop & Leilo!! It is a super long wait until May to get your placements, but in the mean time focus on all the other stuff that you need to get done. I remember April passing super slowly, but once that placement email came it was rush, rush, rush to finish all the paperwork and packing in time.

Many congrats to all!! I wish you great fortitude on the long wait for placements.... (Sometimes Contracting Organizations know by mid-May but aren't allowed to contact you until a certain date or until they receive your Reply Form so the wait can get long ;;-;; hang in there!!)
Also if any of you DO get your placements and you're going somewhere that begins in Sai and ends in Tama ... shoot me a PM <3
