I did not really enjoy the one about Mikan Land a while ago, did not really give me anything. Ahaha the mikans and Indonesia (right?). I definitely fell asleep during that one. Proof that last year's keynote was good: I stayed awake during the whole thing. Oh no. They had that same speech at the pref orientation this year...the person didn't even get a chance to reach that topic about the mikans and Indonesia, but I for sure have pamphlets on it. Everyone was so blank eyed by the end of it. I felt bad for the person. |

そもそも have you guys actually gotten the official 通知 from CLAIR about Mid-Year Chaos via your CO or 取りまとめ団体? Or has the hotel YOYAKU been done given the info from the August newsletter?

So wait, where is everyone staying for this? Our soup just gone through it with us now and I think the actual hotel itself is more expensive than our allowance so a quick search shows me hotel francs is a nice cheap one really close by?? But i dunno

There's a whole bunch of hotels in the area and I think they're pretty closely packed, so I'm sure any of them will be fine!

Is it actually useful as a work conference thing tho?? I`ve had tokyo orientation, prefectural orientation, we have prefectural CIR training in october and then this in novemeber.. Feel like I will be sick of people talking at me by then.. Looking forward to the social side of though for sure I have been to only one but did not find it remotely useful. Tokyo and the prefectural orientations were better. Maybe this year will be improved. There were many fancy-sounding guest speakers but few had any actual idea of what CIRs do or advice that we could use and just recycled stock presentations about themselves. By the end of it I was pretty annoyed and could think of a few ways my town could have better spent that money. At least I networked with people in Tokyo unrelated to JET who have been helpful with work while I was there. |

Last year I didn't get to go with the other CIRs (we all just went separately and then Kagoshima CIRs took pity on me when they bumped into me at the airport and let me sit with them on the bus to the hotel) but this year me and American CIR booked together and we gave Chinese CIR and Korean CIR info on what flights we are going to take so maybe they will go with us too and now I have hulemdos *_*

Ok, I was just wondering because I thought it was only for CIRs but it sounds like my advisor will be accompanying me.
